FIGHTING LADY – socio-esthetic care
Cécile takes charge of me. A daughter taking care of her mother. Every day, she gives me a head massage to ease the migraine headaches, she lays her hands on my aching body, she makes me feel infinitely better, I don’t know how.
This gentleness that Cécile has in her hands, a gift of being able to bring peace andtranquility, is something I didn’t find in any medicine. She takes care of what is left of my nails, of my wounds, teaches me how to make up, to choose colors that enhance my eyes. She tries however she can to make me forget my suffering. She waits till I come back from the factory and massages my back, legs and head.
Her delicate nature and her talent for taking care of people bewilder me. I watch her, just as she has always been: Tender, full of empathy and generosity. Her profession is a real vocation.
Until now, I had only been through medical care and gestures. I find out that there is another way of easing pain, through socio-esthetic care, through nursing.
